Fashion Industry: Adapting to Crisis, June 11, 2020

The French-American Foundation hosted a Young Leaders Perspective webinar to discuss the fashion industry’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic with guest speakers Siddhartha Shukla of Theory and Leslie Serrero of Fendi.

Speaking from their positions in France and the US, Siddhartha and Leslie discussed the impacts of the crisis on their respective companies. Topics addressed included the closure of stories, the effects of the shutdown on the relationships between company and employee, and the supply chains in question, among others.

Moreover, the two speakers addressed what it means to be a leader in the retail industry during the crisis. They reviewed the steps in place to reopen and engaged in candid dialogue surrounding what changes to the industry’s culture were necessary in order to adapt.

The French-American Foundation developed this webinar initiative to continue our mission of encouraging transatlantic dialogue while prioritizing the health and safety of our community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our webinars take place throughout the month.
