Vincent Dillies

Lieutenant-Colonel Vincent Dillies graduated from the École Polytechnique and served as an officer in the French Army. After his initial training at the Armored Cavalry School, he served for seven years in the 2nd Hussard Regiment, a battalion specialized in collecting intelligence through observation behind enemy lines, long range reconnaissance patrols, and contacts with local populations. From platoon leader to company commander, he led up to a hundred soldiers. Deployed under French command in Chad, Mali, and Central African Republic and twice under American command in Afghanistan, he has been awarded four medals for bravery in combat, and the U.S. Army commendation medal.

He served as a cyber defense analyst and notably developed cooperation and training programs with several West African countries. In 2018, he joined the French École de Guerre (Joint Staff College) before graduating from the HEC Paris MBA. Since 2020, he has been assigned to the French Army Finance Directorate where he leads the pluriannual budget planning section. Lieutenant-Colonel Vincent Dillies is also co-founder and president of the École de Guerre Alumni Association.
