Séverine Schrameck

Séverine Schrameck is a partner at the US law firm Cleary Gottlieb. Her practice focuses on EU and French competition law. She regularly advises French and international clients on all areas of competition law, including merger control, cartel investigations and market dominance cases before both the European Commission and the French Competition Authority. She also has extensive experience in foreign investment control issues and in French public law.

Séverine is a member of the Paris Bar. She graduated from HEC Paris (2010) and from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (2005). She also holds a Bachelor’s degree, a Master 1 and a Master 2 in administrative law from the University of Paris I – Panthéon-Sorbonne (2007).

Séverine is an active member of the French and European legal community. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and an author of numerous articles and publications. She also lectures on competition law at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and on corporate governance at HEC Paris. She is involved in the Women@Competition network through its mentoring program to help young women achieve their career ambitions.

Séverine Schrameck was recently awarded Lawyer of the year – Under 40 and Women in Antitrust by the Global Competition Review for her leading role in several complex and high-profile cases over the past years. In addition, she was recognized in 2021 by Law.com as one of the Continental Europe’s best 25 women in law aged under 40.
