Delphine O is the Ambassador and the Secretary General for the UN Women’s Global Forum. She is responsible for creating and organizing the UN Women’s Global Forum (“Beijing+25”), the largest and most important international gathering on gender equality and women’s rights since 1995. Previously, Delphine was a member of the French Parliament for La Republique en Marche. In the National Assembly, she was a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Chairwoman of the France-Iran Friendship Group and the Co-rapporteur of Strategic Issues of the South China Sea.
A graduate from the Ecole Normale Superieure and the Harvard Kennedy School, Delphine O has previously worked for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Stimson Center think tank in Washington, DC and ActionAid in Afghanistan. She is an expert of Iran and the Middle East, as well as European affairs, Russia, and the South China Sea. She speaks French, English, German, Persian and Korean.
She is a Munich Security Conference Young Leader of 2019, a member of the Council of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), manager of the Institut des Relations Internationales et Stratégiques (IRIS) and a member of the advisory board of the German Marshall Fund (GMF) Paris.
