Adrien de Chaisemartin is the Deputy Director of Covid Vaccine Supply at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He previously director of Strategy at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, a public-private partnership launched in 2000 to support access to vaccines in low income countries, which contributed to save more than 7 million lives since its creation.
Prior to joining GAVI in 2011, Adrien worked McKinsey&Company in Johannesburg, South Africa. For 6 years Adrien worked in public health, economic development and agriculture for governments and development institutions in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Botswana and South Africa.
Adrien has a Master of Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique, a Master of Applied Mathematics from Harvard University and a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
