Adrien de Chaisemartin is the Director of Strategy and Performance at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance
This public-private partnership launched by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2000 supports the access to vaccines in the poorest countries and has contributed to save more than 7 million lives since its creation.
Adrien led the design and implementation of the 2011-20 strategy and operating model, which led to successfully raising $7.5 billion at the replenishment conference hosted by Angela Merkel in January 2015. Prior to joining GAVI in 2011, Adrien worked McKinsey&Company in Johannesburg, South Africa. For 6 years Adrien supported the governments of Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Botswana and South Africa on programs in the areas of public health, economic development and agriculture.
Adrien holds a Master of Science from Ecole Polytechnique, and a Master of Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
