What’s to come at FAF in 2021

January 7, 2021

Happy New Year on behalf of the team at the French-American Foundation.

Though we continue to face ongoing challenges, from Covid-19 to what happened yesterday at the U.S. Capitol, we are more eager than ever to welcome you back after the winter holidays for a new program calendar, one that firmly addresses these challenges and brings together leaders to work toward solutions. In light of yesterday’s events, the Foundation is already working on upcoming discussions, and we will be sure to keep you up to date.

We’ve already started to develop a new series of virtual events that combines our longstanding programs with new initiatives and partners. The Young Leaders programTransatlantic ForumTranslation PrizeCyber Security program, and free public webinars will continue to engage both our internal network and the general public in consistent transatlantic dialogue around topics of mutual interest for France and the United States.

We’d like to draw particular attention to a unique milestone in the French-American Foundation’s history. 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of our flagship Young Leaders program. Organizing its first international gathering of French and American leaders in 1981, the program continues to strengthen the relationship between both sides of the Atlantic through its annual summits and alumni community. We take pride in the wealth of perspectives brought to the Foundation’s community by our Young Leaders, who range from presidents and prime ministers to authors and musicians. To celebrate this landmark year, we’re organizing a collection of virtual events that fosters connections between past and present classes of Young Leaders and conveys their expertise to the wider public.

We also encourage you to follow our websitesocial media, and newsletters for regular updates. Reflecting the current state of global affairs, our virtual events are constantly updated.

As always, thank you for your continued support of our work!
