Jonathan P. Cramer
Jon is a corporate transactional lawyer based in New York City. He is now Counsel at Herrick, Feinstein LLP’s Corporate Department. Prior to this, he was a partner at Baker Hostetler LLP since 2009, having previously been a partner at Ropes & Gray LLP and Andrews & Kurth LLP in New York. He started his career as an associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York. He holds a BA from Tufts University and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law.
Jon focuses his practice on public and private mergers and acquisitions, representing domestic and foreign buyers and sellers and private equity groups in connection with control, minority and venture-type investments. He has also represented issuers and underwriters in the public offering and private placement of debt and equity securities and advised sponsors and LPs on fund formation.
In recent years he has devoted substantial attention to advising non-US companies on their US activities. In particular he has represented a significant number of French companies in their acquisitions and dispositions of US companies. He is also a member of the French American Chamber of Commerce.
