The French-American Foundation hosted a virtual meeting of the Transatlantic Forum on Wednesday, November 4 at 6:00pm ET to discuss the results of the US Presidential Election. The event featured guest speaker Joel Benenson, CEO of the Benenson Strategy Group, and moderator Sara Aviel, Founder of Margalit Strategies LLC, senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and 2020 Foundation Young Leader.

Joel Benenson: Joel Benenson, founder and CEO of the Benenson Strategy Group, is one of the leading political and corporate strategists in the world. Benenson led the award-winning research and polling programs for President Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns and is the only Democratic pollster in history to have played a leading role in three winning presidential campaigns. Throughout his career as a pollster and strategist, he has been a trusted advisor to heads of state, political leaders, Fortune 100 companies and their CEOs, and leaders of major advocacy and nonprofit institutions.

Sara Aviel: The Honorable Sara Aviel is an international economic leader with expertise in policy, strategy, and operations. As the founder of Margalit Strategies LLC, Sara provides strategic advice to a range of private, multilateral, and non-profit organizations. She is also a senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.  Previously, Sara served for all eight years in senior positions in the Obama Administration including as the United States representative on the Board of the World Bank, the chief operating officer of the Office of Management and Budget, and a senior advisor to Treasury Secretary Geithner.  Prior to joining the Obama Administration, Sara worked for international development organizations in Afghanistan, Kosovo, and throughout Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.
