Syria: French and American Approaches
Invite Only
With Anne-Claire Legendre, Consul General of France in New York
On September 13th, 2017, the French-American Foundation hosted its inaugural meeting of the Transatlantic Forum. Titled “Syria: French and American Approaches,” the gathering undertook a comparative analysis of responses to the Syrian conflict from both sides of the Atlantic. The Foundation proudly welcomed Anne-Claire Legendre, Consul General of France in New York, as the keynote speaker. With an extensive career background in the Middle East, international affairs, and French-American relations, she led an in-depth discussion about the similarities and differences between France and the US as it concerned their approaches to Syria.
The meeting was the first of many to come that aim to develop the transatlantic relationship and engage a collective effort to address the most important topics of the 21st century.
