Mr. Lescure described his experience joining the Macron campaign and his new role as Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee in the French Parliament.

Roland Lescure’s biography:

• Elected Congressman to represent French citizens living in North America under President Emmanuel Macron’s majority in June 2017
• Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee at the French Parliament
• Dual nationality French and Canadian cofounder of “En Marche Montreal”

A complete freshman in politics, Roland Lescure joined Macron’ political party “En Marche” when it was founded in April 2016 and co-founded “En Marche Montreal”, the Canadianbased section of the movement. Following Emmanuel Macron’s victory on the 2017 French presidential elections, he was selected to run with the “En Marche” etiquette in order to represent French citizens living in North America. After campaigning for one month, travelling across more than 10 North-American cities, he was elected on June 17th with over 79% of the votes. On June 25th, he was also elected Chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee at the French Parliament.

Beforehand, Roland Lescure was Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer of the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec (CDPQ) for almost 8 years, a public investment fund with $200 billion of Assets Under Management in public and private markets. Roland Lescure graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole nationale de la statistique et de l’administration économique (ENSAE) and the London School of Economics (LSE) – he is a seasoned economist with many years of experience in the public sector and in the investment field.
