A Transatlantic Perspective: When Geopolitics Meets Sustainability

Together with our partners BNP Paribas and Goldman Sachs, the French-American Foundation – United States and our colleagues from the French-American Foundation – France had the pleasure of co-hosting a half-day conference entitled “A Transatlantic Perspective: When Geopolitics Meets Sustainability” on Monday, June 5th.
The day started with a fireside chat between Alain Papiasse, Chairman of Corporate and Institutional Banking of BNP Paribas and John Waldron, President and Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs. The conversation was moderated by Julia Chatterley, Anchor and Correspondent for CNN. Later in the day, Dina Powell McCormick, Global Head of Sustainability and Inclusive Growth and Global Head of Sovereign Business at Goldman Sachs and FAF Young Leader 2005 was joined by John Hess, CEO of Hess Corporation for an insightful conversation on energy transition strategies and innovative solutions. The day’s events also touched on the geopolitics of sustainability and cross border climate collaboration. Antoine Sire, Head of Engagement of BNP Paribas concluded the conference with closing remarks.
