The French-American Foundation, in collaboration with French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF), hosted a book reading over Zoom on April 9 at 7:00pm ET with author and Young Leader Karin Tanabe, moderator by Young Leader Kabir Sehgal. Karin read excerpts of her new book, A Hundred Suns, for our community of participants.

Karin Tanabe: Karin is the author of the historical fiction novels The Diplomat’s Daughter and The Gilded Years (soon to be a major motion picture starring Zendaya and produced by Zendaya and Reese Witherspoon for Sony/Tristar), as well as The List and The Price of Inheritance, all published by Atria Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Her fifth book, A Hundred Suns, will be published by St. Martin’s Press on April 7, 2020.

Kabir Sehgal: Kabir Sehgal is the Founder & CEO of Tiger Turn Productions. Previously, he worked in corporate strategy at First Data Corporation, a global payments technology firm, which completed the largest IPO on the New York Stock Exchange in 2015. He was also a vice president in emerging market equities at J.P. Morgan and traveled to over twenty-five developing countries to generate investment advice for institutional investors. He helped place the Alibaba IPO, the largest in history. He began his career by founding an online educational network.
