Cyber Security and Digital Identity
Washington, D.C. - Invite Only
Each year, the Cyber Security Conference assembles senior defense officials based in France and the US to discuss the most pertinent challenges to cyber security on both sides of the Atlantic. This year’s program, titled “Cyber Security and Digital Identity,” discussed the balance between ensuring security in cyberspace and protecting personal information and privacy. Through a series of panel and group discussions, this two-day seminar addressed topics from French and American cyber security priorities to anonymity online.
Held under the Chatham House Rule, the invite-only conference hosted senior members of French and American government as well as industry experts in cyber security. A list of organizations where our speakers are from can be found here.
Taking place September 25-26, the event was the fifth consecutive seminar of its kind at the Foundation. The Conference is a joint effort by the Foundations in the US and France and led by a Steering Committee directed by Jean-Paul Paloméros, former Supreme Allied Commander Transformation at NATO. This year we were proud to appoint Cara LaPointe as Program Director of the Cyber Security program. Cara is an American Young Leader from the class of 2016 and a Senior Fellow at the Beeck Center for Social Impact and Innovation at Georgetown University.
