1982 Poll

January 1, 1982

This 1982 survey report conducted by the Gallup Organization was designed to investigate the attitudes of American adults toward the people and government of France, and the attitudes of French people toward the United States. Several questions on both the American and French surveys were originally asked in 1976 Gallup surveys. A trend analysis for these questions appears in the report.

1,500 American men and women, 18 years of age or older, were interviewed in June 1982. The French survey included 1,005 respondents, 15 years of age or older.
