Sylvie Soundaravelou

As Head of Financial Markets and Trading at TotalEnergies in Paris since 2024, Sylvie Soundaravelou leads a team of FX & IR Traders and Asset Managers. Her responsibilities cover the management of the group’s financial risks and liquidity, as well as the structuring of strategic projects and the optimization of investment strategies. She joined TotalEnergies’ Treasury department in 2020.

Sylvie’s 15-year career spans diverse corporate Front Office functions across FX, interest rates, energy, and metals markets. She has worked in several major French companies across different sectors, including Imerys, ArcelorMittal, and Decathlon. Her progression at TotalEnergies includes her previous role as Senior Interest Rate Trader.

She is a member of the European Central Bank’s Foreign Exchange Contact Group (FXCG) and serves on the board of TradeTech FX, where she contributes to strengthening dialogue between corporates and market participants. She is also a regular speaker at international industry conferences on FX markets and corporate treasury topics.

Sylvie holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Financial Engineering from Paris Dauphine University.
