Joseph Romeo

Joseph Romeo is Partner, Private Equity at Apollo focused on sustainability and infrastructure investments. His team focuses on building businesses and financing assets that support energy transition, sustainable mobility and industrial decarbonization. Joey currently serves on the boards of WattEV, Petros PACE, and Freestone Renewables. He previously served on the boards of Apex Energy, Caelus Energy Alaska, Northwoods Energy, Phoenix Services and Spartan Acquisition Corp. II & III where he was involved in the business combinations with Fisker Inc., Sunlight Financial and Allego N.V.

Prior to joining Apollo in 2013, he was a member of GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services group focused on principal investments in the energy sector. He also spent time as an investment banking analyst and leading business development for a retail energy company.

Joey received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his MBA from Harvard Business School.

Joey lives in New York City with his wife and four daughters and is originally from Santa Barbara, California.
