Alexandre Barjon
Alexandre Barjon is a Managing Director at BNP Paribas in New-York where he is in charge of the Bank’s relationships with its French and Belgian strategic clients in North America, providing them support in their various financing and advisory needs to contribute to their developments and investments in the region. As part of his mandate, he is also in charge of fostering strong relations with the French community in the US through an active collaboration with transatlantic associations and the local French authorities.
During his career, Alexandre occupied different positions in various international locations, notably starting as a parliamentary assistant at the UK House of Commons in London before returning to Paris as a strategy consultant for the public sector at Deloitte Paris. Later on, he joined the Inspection Générale of BNP Paribas where he specialized in the audit and strategic review of its global markets activities. More recently, he was the Chief of staff to the Chairman of CIB at BNP Paribas where his scope encompassed the Bank’s activities with key clients and regulators in India, the Middle East, the UK and the US.
As part of his mandates, Alexandre contributed to many transatlantic initiatives for the Bank and to the promotion of Paris as a financial center by supporting and representing BNP Paribas in different associations such as Paris-Europlace or the Cercle de la Regulation et de la Supervision Financière (CRSF).
Alexandre holds an Executive Master in Finance from HEC Paris as well as a Masters of Science in Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
Alexandre was recognized as a Young Leader by the Aspen Institute in France, as part of the 2023 cohort. He sits today on the Board of the Institut Jean Monnet, promoting the legacy of the Founding father of the European Union in the US.
