Alexandra Jousset
After graduating in international law from Panthéon-Assas University and Sciences-Po Paris, Alexandra Jousset became a documentary filmmaker 12 years ago. Twice finalist for the Albert Londres prize in 2017 and 2020, for an investigation into the trafficking of Filipinos housekeepers “Maids”, and a film on the return of the Taliban to power “Afghans, sacrificed in the name of peace”, she has directed numerous geopolitical investigations and collaborated mainly with France Television and ARTE. She received the “young” prize at the FIGRA festival for her investigation “War crimes dealers” and her latest film, “Wagner: Putin’s shadow army” received the FIGRA festival Grand prix in 2022, it has also been selected for numerous festivals.
In January 2022, in addition to her work as a journalist and long feature director, Alexandra has become a producer within the CAPA press agency, where she develops international investigations for French public channels and platforms. Alexandra is a graduate of the IHEDN (72nd class Defense Policy) and also directed a short film #illusion broadcast on Cine+, itunes/apple US and selected in six festivals (including the Miami film Festival).
