Leslie Serrero

Vice-President of Global Operational Marketing, Christian Dior Couture

Leslie is currently Vice President of Global Operational Marketing at Christian Dior Couture, reporting to the CEO. In her position, she oversees five distinct global teams: retail marketing, client development/CRM, digital and ecommerce, call center, and media planning and buying—in addition to the local marketing and media teams. She has been in this role since 2012.

Previously, Leslie was Executive Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Lacoste SA., where she was responsible for repositioning the brand globally, after four years of declining sales. Over her 3 ½ years there, she was instrumental in redefining and implementing all the elements of the mix to boost brand performance, from a complete overhaul of the product offer to a deep evolution of the distribution network (retail and wholesale). She managed the seven licensees (strategic direction, product offer, retail/wholesale developments) to ensure their development followed the global directions set for the brand. As a result of all these efforts, in 2011, the brand was renewed with double digit growth in key categories and key markets that were declining two years prior.

Prior to joining Lacoste, Leslie was a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group, specialized in growth and marketing/brand strategies in the fashion, consumer and retail industries. She started in the New York office (USA), upon completion of her MBA in 2003. In 2005, she was promoted and assigned to Sydney, Australia. In 2008, she returned to France and joined the Paris office.

She started her career, after graduating from ESSEC business school, at General Electric Global eXchange Services, then a fully-owned subsidiary of GE providing business to business electronic commerce solutions. During her three-year tenure, she was promoted twice. She started as a Financial Analyst for the Professional Services department, with EMEA responsibilities. In 1999, after nine months in her role, she was asked to support the Business Development team in EMEA in addition to the professional services team.

In 2000, after 18 months as a Financial Analyst, she was invited to be a “Black Belt” internal consultant, for the EMEA region, across functions, leading major cross-functional reengineering projects, which had the double objective of improving customer satisfaction and productivity.

Leslie graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2003, and ESSEC in 1997.
