Remy Raisner

Mr. Raisner is a real estate investor and the Founder and CEO of The Raisner Group, a real estate private equity firm headquartered in New York City.

Under his leadership, the firm has raised capital domestically and internationally since 2009 to invest in non-performing notes and property redevelopments.  The firm pursues a value-add strategy and primarily seeks to make residential and mixed-use real estate investments within New York City. Most of the firm’s acquisitions have taken place in the ‘outer boroughs’, with an emphasis in the emerging Brooklyn neighborhoods of Bushwick, Bedford-Stuyvesant and Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

Starting 2013, Proteus became involved in real estate venture capital investments, through its affiliate Proteus Tech Ventures.

Prior to creating The Raisner Group, Mr. Raisner worked as an equity trader for a hedge fund in New York and as a private equity investor in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In conjunction to being an entrepreneur, Mr. Raisner has been a contributor to numerous international and national media outlets since 2011.  His articles have been featured in publications including Forbes, Le Monde, the Philadephia Inquirer, the Observer and The Huffington Post (U.S., Canada, France, Italy and Mexico editions).

Mr. Raisner graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he wrote a thesis on the Economic Impact of Yugoslavia’s Political Evolution.

He holds a MBA from Columbia Business School with Dean’s List honors, and attended Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires.  He is a CFA Chartherholder and a Foreign Trade Advisor to the government of France.

He is a frequent lecturer at universities and conferences, and is involved in various New York City organizations committed to ending homelessness and economically empowering lower-income communities.

He grew up in Paris and is a native speaker of French.  He is fluent in English and Spanish.  He moved to the United States at age 19 for Division I athletics, and he played professional basketball prior to his career in business.
