Michael Jacobs

Michael Jacobs leads the sales effort for global equities to Canadian institutions, including cross-divisional client relationship management.  He joined Goldman Sachs in 2010.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked at Soros Fund Management as a research analyst covering technology companies.  Previously, he worked in the Office of the General Counsel at Soros’s Open Society Institute.

Michael earned a BA in Philosophy from Reed College and studied at Wadham College, Oxford University.  He earned an MBA with a focus in finance from INSEAD.  He also served as a US Peace Corps volunteer in Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia.

On the personal side, Michael also recently completed a two-year Certificate program at the Juilliard School, concentrating on classical piano, music theory and ear training.  He has been drawing and painting at the Art Students League for over a decade under the mentorship of artist Sherry Camhy.  He lives on the Upper West Side with his husband and his rescue dog Ellie.
