Marie-Pierre Dhers
Marie-Pierre holds a Master of Engineering from the National College of Aviation, Toulouse, France, a Master of Science from Cranfield University, UK, and an executive MBA from Saint John’s University, in the US. Her curiosity for unexplored lands plunged her early where few female women were found, like aviation and finance.
She started her career at Air France, as the first woman in charge of purchasing new aircraft from Boeing and Airbus production lines. As VP Corporate Finance, she then was responsible for funding the airline investments. When in charge of business development, she drove the growth of Air France-KLM maintenance division, ranked world second. She then headed the Group Strategic Plan, as well as transformation programs to improve the airline cost base. As SVP French Airports, at one of the largest domestic airline network in Europe, her assignment was to boost productivity performance, implementing digitalization and automation.
When she moved to New York in 2013, she founded a consulting firm, focusing on aerospace. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of SkyWorks Capital, an investment banking firm, leader in its sector. Certified in Corporate Governance by INSEAD, she has been regularly contacted for board positions in Europe.
Like her, her husband is from the South of France, and they have two sons in college. Marie-Pierre relentlessly advocates for more women at decision-making level, and loves running.
