The French-American Foundation hosted a Zoom webinar on Tuesday, June 30 at 1:00pm ET with guest speaker Benjamin Haddad, Director – Future Europe Initiative at the Atlantic Council, on the geopolitical challenges ahead. The event was moderated by Julia Fromholz, Director of the Rule of Law and Governance Program at Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law.

Bejamin Haddad: Benjamin Haddad is the director of the Future Europe Initiative at the Atlantic Council. He is an expert in European politics and transatlantic relations. Before moving to the Atlantic Council, he was a fellow at Hudson Institute in Washington DC. His work has notably advocated for transatlantic unity in the face of Russian aggression, greater European responsibility, and investment on strategic matters. His recent book “Paradise Lost: Europe in the World of Trump” makes the case for greater European unity in a world of new challenges and threats.
Julia Fromholz: Julia Fromholz serves as director of the Rule of Law and Governance Program at Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and is based in Washington, DC. Before joining ASU Law, Ms. Fromholz worked at the U.S. Department of State, in both Pakistan and Washington. She spent two years as the senior director, Rule of Law at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, and in Washington advised the Under Secretary of State for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights on a range of issues, including mass atrocity prevention and human trafficking.
