Transatlantic Forum
The French-American Foundation hosted the second Transatlantic Forum of 2021 on Wednesday, February 10 at 6:00 pm ET. The discussion was led by Matthew Smith, Co-Founder and CEO of Fortify Rights and Fellow at Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard University. Emmanuel d’Harcourt, Chief Program and Innovation Officer at Hellen Keller International, moderated the session.
Matthew Smith: Matthew Smith is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fortify Rights. Matthew previously worked with Human Rights Watch, EarthRights International, Kerry Kennedy of Robert F. Emmanuel d’Harcourt: Emmanuel d’Harcourt leads program development and strategy at Helen Keller International, supervising the nutrition, eye health, and neglected tropical diseases departments as well as the business development team. Emmanuel has worked as a clinician, researcher, outbreak responder, and manager, for organizations including the Pasteur Institute, the International Rescue Committee, and Vital Strategies. A dual French and American national, he has lived and worked in primarily in Africa but also in Asia and Latin America, focusing on child and maternal health, conflict recovery, data, and health systems.
