Julie Angulo is the Chief Operating Officer of the Hazardous Waste division at Veolia North America, directing a $1.2 billion industrial business with 3,000 employees across 100 sites. Known for her strategic vision, authenticity, and boundless energy, she excels at uniting teams to drive positive environmental impact on a large scale.
Bridging the intellectual rigor of French engineering with the high-velocity execution of American industry, Julie orchestrates the management of highly toxic streams from strategic sectors including microelectronics, biotech, and defense. She mobilizes her workforce to transform complex ecological challenges into tangible solutions, constantly innovating to prevent future public health crises. Currently, she is spearheading the integration of a landmark $3 billion acquisition that doubles Veolia’s footprint in the United States.
Before moving to Boston, Julie spent a decade in London directing municipal services for major boroughs such as Westminster and Southwark, managing the daily waste of two million Londoners and pioneering the electrification of the collection fleet.
A fierce advocate for women’s advancement in male-dominated industries, she actively mentors rising talent and champions progressive corporate policies for parental leave and workplace safety for pregnant workers facing industrial risks. A graduate of ENSTA Paris, Sciences Po Paris, and Pierre and Marie Curie University, this mother of three speaks four languages, has lived in five countries, and is an avid rock climber.
