Philippe Manière
Philippe Manière is the president and co-founder of Vae Solis Communications, a Paris-based consulting firm specializing in communications, crisis communications and public affairs. He sits at the board of Aspen France and the French-American Foundation (France). He also was a board member of Humanity in Action (France) from 2007 to 2012. He sat at the Commission Economique de la Nation for seven years. He was made a Knight in the Order of Legion of Honour in 2009.
Philippe received his education in business and law from ESSEC and Université Paris-II. He was a journalist from 1984 to 2004, serving as editor in chief and columnist in several print media such as L’Expansion, La lettre de l’Expansion and Le Point. He aired hundreds of chronicles on France Culture, Europe 1 and BFM Business, three French national radios.
From 2004 to 2009, Philippe was the Managing Director of Institut Montaigne, a leading French think-tank.
He is a regular guest of TV and radio talk shows (France Culture, BFM Business, Arte…) and holds a bi-monthly column in Challenges, a French weekly business magazine.
Philippe published six books to date. His latest opus, “Le pangolin et l’ISF – Comment le “monde d’après” nous rend tous fous” (published by Editions de l’Observatoire) is to be released on June 25th.
