Inside the Trump White House, September 24, 2019

The French-American Foundation hosted a Policy Breakfast on the Trump administration with Michael Wolff, journalist and bestselling author. The event was moderated by Edward C. Wallace, Co-Chairman of global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP’s New York office and Vice Chairman of the French-American Foundation.

Known for having private access to the White House at the beginning of the Trump administration, Mr. Wolff shared with the audience the changes he saw occurring at the White House after the president took office. Describing the interactions between President Trump and his team beyond policy, he gave his personal view of the administration and offered a candid perspective of Trump.

Given the political climate, the discussion shifted to the 2020 election and the ongoing Democratic Primary. Mr. Wolff talked about the skills and endorsements needed to lead a presidential campaign, the democratic candidates who could effectively challenge the current president, and Trump’s strengths and weakness in the coming election.

The French-American Foundation organizes programs throughout the year to encourage dialogue surrounding topical issues in French and US politics.
