24th Annual Translation Awards Ceremony


Since 1986, the French-American Foundation, with the long-standing support of the Florence Gould Foundation, awards annual Translation Prizes for the best translation from French to English in fiction and non-fiction. 

Congratulations to all 2011 winners: Mitzi Angel for 03 by Jean-Christophe Valtat (Farrar, Straus & Giroux) and Lydia Davis for Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert (Viking/Penguin Group) in Fiction, and Frederick Brown for Letters from America by Alexis de Tocqueville (Yale University Press) and Jane Marie Todd for Reading and Writing in Babylon (Harvard University Press).
