Media practices

The French-American Foundation's multi-year policy programs on the themes of migration, media and equal opportunity provide an in-depth, comparative perspective on issues of common concern for France and the United States.

The French-American Foundation launched the Immigration Journalism Fellowship and Awards program in 2011 in order to support independent and responsible reportage on immigration and integration, as well as to promote excellence in journalism.

  • Immigration Journalism Awards

The Immigration Journalism Awards recognize the work of journalists published in the United States and France on the topic of immigration during a ceremony and panel discussion every year in New York.

  • Immigration Journalism Fellowship

The Immigration Journalism Fellowship equips journalists with funds to produce immigration and integration reporting of the highest quality over a period of four to six months.
