Partners and Funders Luncheon

On September 19, the French-American Foundation will host its annual Partners & Funders Luncheon. Generously hosted by the Open Society Foundations, this private event is an opportunity for partners, journalists, and current and prospective sponsors to learn about the Foundation's current and future program and policy work to better understand the impact of our efforts and how your support can help ensure that the Foundation remains relevant and meaningful.

The French-American Foundation addresses a variety of current policy issues including education; immigration; security and defense; business and the economy; energy and the environment; urban development and renewal; and cultural policy. Programs include our signature Young Leaders program, conferences, high-level professional exchanges, and study tours for leaders in government, business, academia, media, and culture, creating a rich network of people and ideas for action. The breadth and scope of our programming presents participants with unique opportunities to explore and advance the French-American relationship.

The inaugural Partners & Funders Luncheon, held in June 2013, was generously hosted by the Ford Foundation, a longstanding supporter of the French-American Foundation. The goal of this event was to provide an audience of supporters, foundation officers, and corporate sponsors with an overview of the mission, programs, and activities of the Foundation.  With a keynote by Jim Avila, the luncheon featured a panel discussion highlighting the Immigration Journalism Fellowship and Award program as an exemplary effort to promote transatlantic dialogue and to address one of the pressing issues facing both France and the United States.

This year, Immigration Journalism Fellows Ian Gordon and Damaso Reyes will join Foundation Board Member Adam Gopnik of The New Yorker to discuss the work and impact of the French-American Foundation.

Foundation partners and those interested in supporting the Foundation are welcome to attend this event. Registration is required. To RSVP for this event, click here
