The French-American Foundation's multi-year policy programs on the themes of migration, media and equal opportunity provide an in-depth, comparative perspective on issues of common concern for France and the United States.

Current Initiative: Immigration Journalism Program

The French-American Foundation launched the Immigration Journalism Fellowship and Award program in 2011, in order to support independent and responsible reportage on immigration and integration, as well as to promote excellence in journalism.

- Immigration Journalism Award

The Immigration Journalism Award recognizes the work of journalists published in the United States or in France on the topic of immigration, during a ceremony and panel discussion every year in New York.

- Immigration Journalism Fellowship

The Immigration Journalism Fellowship equips journalists with funds to produce immigration and integration reporting of the highest quality, over a period of four to six months. Applications are now open until May 31, 2017
