Electronic Publishing Study Tour in France

In 2009 and 2011, the French-American Foundation invited publishing professionals from France and the United States to explore the future of the book market and how new technology is reshaping business practices in both countries.

In January 2011, the following American professionals were invited to France: Mitzi Angel, Head of FSG imprint Faber & Faber; Peter Costanzo, Directors of Digital Content for F+W Media; Evan Schnittman, Managing Director of Group Sales and Marketing, Print and Digital, at Bloomsbury; and Ira Silverberg, Director of Foreign Rights at Sterling Lord Literistic, Inc.

This study tour was part of our Courants program, a cultural exchange program that provides cultural leaders and policy-makers from France and the United States with opportunities to share best practices in their fields and exchange ideas and innovative approaches in each country.
